The Tacoma Strength Coaches acknowledge that this is a stressful and uncertain time for many of us, in our community, and the world. Let’s continue to support each other through kindness and friendship, and come together as a community to get through this difficult time. We appreciate many of you showing up to take classes at Tacoma Strength and expressing gratitude to have this special space to work out, lift weights, relieve stress, release anxiety, and to receive inspiration.
Today, as per the Governor of Washington and The State of Washington Director of Public Health, it is clear that we need to temporarily cancel all classes until the COVID-19 pandemic is contained and the State allows us to reopen. At this time, we have been told this closure will only be through March 31, 2020. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and send you updates to confirm our reopening date.
To support you, we are working to bring you home and outdoor workout options through your TeamBuildr app so that social distancing can be ensured and you can continue to work out with the Tacoma Strength community. We will begin launching these later this week and will send you information on how to participate soon.
Working out at Tacoma Strength is all about adaptation to change, and constantly varying what we do. For now, we are being asked to modify our behavior and to adapt to this current environment. This means our workouts must change too.
As a small business, we are working hard to adapt and make changes to navigate this uncharted territory. We request that you not reach out to cancel or modify your monthly autopay if you are a member. We ask that you support the gym, your community, and the coaches by helping us stay financially afloat during these tough times.
As well, we will have additional membership opportunities for you to help your fellow gym members who facing tough financial times during this crisis, as well to ensure that Tacoma Strength is available for a long time after COVID-19 is in our rearview mirror. If we can show up today and face these challenges with courage and wisdom it will shape who we are and shape our Tacoma Strength community moving forwards.
